Travel planning

Sat Feb 18, 2012, 12:29 AM
I haven't been out in a little while so need to correct that. Some time this month I will go back to Hawk Conservancy trust, but I'm wondering about a bigger trip too. I got a free night at a hotel I can choose* so thinking of doing an overnight trip somewhere. But where? I could do the North London combo again, 2 of Whipsnade, Cat Survival Trust or Paradise wildlife park. Or perhaps go a bit further and try new ones like Colchester? Anyone want to join me at any of those? :XD:

*free hotel conditions are I must book before the end of Feb, to be used by end of March. Some dates need to be at least a week in advance.

Hope you have fun wherever you decide to go. I'm busy for the rest of this month and next, already planning a few days up at Liverpool for sometime in March. Hopefully doing a marco day and then probably spending a few days in the lake district, I always try to go there at least once every two years.
Colchester is good, I haven't been there for ages though.

Heard about that photo day - bit northern? But not as much as the lakes. Sounds like a good trip while you're in that direction :)

Haha, just a bit, but I'm dying to do a macro day again. Plus I don't really do holidays anymore, so it's nice to go somewhere a little different for a few days. ^^

Sounds good :) You have a couple of really nice places planned there. Isn't Cat survival trust the really expensive one though?

Heh. I'd love to but can't travel anywhere much. I even have free access to Colchester as part of my Marwell membership..
I can even get in free to Edinburgh, but train fairs obliterate any benefit that would bring ;)

CST is quite reasonable. I think it was 60 per person with light lunch when I went last year. You're probably thinking of WHF which I've heard is now around 150.

Do Edinburgh! Pandas! PANDAS!!!!111111111one

That's not too bad. Not cheap by any means but decent. Is that the one where you can get fairly close?
Ah yes. That'll be it.. that one's mad!

Hahaha. The irony is the club I dive with is organising a trip there.. i'm just down here. I even have free entry too..
